Ben & Becky’s Wedding
I was so honoured to be asked by Ben & Becky to create a collection of paper flower hair accessories for their bridesmaids and flower girls to be worn at their January wedding.
Becky was having real flowers for the bouquets but chose paper flowers for her special girl’s hair accessories so they could keep and treasure them afterwards.
Creating the Paper Flower Hair Accessories
Working with the colours of the bridesmaid dresses I created little paper roses to match the real roses that would be featuring in the bouquets and combined these with delicate paper blossoms, pale green leaves and little pink pearl details.
Creating lots of little flowers and leaves ready to construct into the paper flower hair accessories including flower crowns and a collection of loose paper flowers to be pinned into the bridesmaid hair.
I developed a loose repeating pattern for the little paper roses and blossoms and began creating these into the flower crowns finished with pink ribbons that matched the ribbons used on the couples wedding invites.
Oh wow Clare they are fantastic. Really love it. They will look so pretty on the girls and the older bridesmaids having a few of the single flowers in their hair will be amazing.

The Wedding Day
It was such a beautiful wedding, full of personal touches and the day really did celebrate the love between Becky & Ben.
When I saw the paper flowers I had created come down the aisle my already teary eyes welled up again! Such a special moment and an honour to see the paper flower hair accessories in action.
How the hair dresser added the flowers to the bridesmaid’s hair was just stunning, providing lovely details that completed their look.
The flower girls kept their paper flower crowns on all day, even staying put during all their dancing and spinning on the dance floor until their energy finally ran out and I spotted one of them fast asleep on a comfy chair with her flower crown laying proudly on her chest. How cute!
