Looking back on my year of making wedding bouquet recreations and handcrafting these beautiful wedding bouquets from paper as first year wedding anniversary gifts. Wow 2019 has been a busy one!
I kicked off the year with this beautiful wedding bouquet recreation featuring dahlias, scabiosa and roses.

Then a stunning bouquet which challenged me to my first creation of paper ferns.

April was a busy month for wedding bouquet recreations with another stunning bouquet to remake featuring lots of beautiful roses and eucalyptus foliage.

Next was a white and green collection of roses and freesia made into a smaller version of the bride’s bouquet.

This bouquet was a lovely piece to create and gave me an opportunity to make more gerberas, this time arranged with peonies, roses, veronica and variegated foliage.

Pretty in pink for my next wedding bouquet recreation filled with fluffy peony petals roses and hydrangeas.

One of my favourite from 2019 was this purple and yellow combination of sunflowers, lisianthus and delphiniums.

My most challenging and largest bouquet of the year came in the form of this stunning bouquet jam packed with different types of roses, hydrangeas, peonies, rice flowers, zinnias and orlaya.

A lovely summery and colourful collection of wildflowers, dahlias and a sunflower featured in my next paper bouquet.

Then came a fiddly recreation full of gypsophilia and veronica stems.

A lovely commission to recreate a groom’s wedding buttonholes from paper to celebrate their first year anniversary.

One of my favourite wedding bouquet recreations so far has to be this stunning white and green bouquet filled with eucalyptus foliage, roses and ranunculus.

Then came a lovely commission to recreate the main flowers from a wedding bouquet and to display as a framed piece. Something I had wanted to create all year.

To celebrate our friends marriage I recreated their beautiful collection of purple flowers as their lasting wedding gift.

Another stunning collection of wedding flowers were recreated from paper for a couple to celebrate their first year ‘paper’ wedding anniversary. Handmade and arranged in a box frame ready to display in the couples home.

And finally my last recreation of 2019 is this beautiful collection of flowers from a Christmas wedding made into a framed piece to celebrate their first year of marriage.

Wow what a year! I have been so lucky to have been asked to recreate all these beautiful flowers. Thank you so much to my lovely customers and for their kind words. I hope your flowers bring you lasting happiness and a reminder of your special day for years to come.
I feel like we already know each other thanks to my lovely husband Mark Hooper. I am Mrs Hooper, Becky. I have this morning opened my beautiful paper flower display. I am absolutely blown away by this piece. I was actually very confused as I knew my actual flowers had been dried and pressed by my mum so didn’t understand how this had been created. Your work is incredible and I can’t thank you enough for the level of effort and love you put into your work”

“Clare made a beautiful replica bride bouquet for my friend’s paper anniversary. I’m a bit of a tricky customer as I’m very picky, but Clare was very flexible when it came to the end design which resulted in one very happy customer!! My friend loved the bouquet and I would 100% recommend Petal and Bird for a very special personal gift”

“Clare replicated my wife’s wedding bouquet as a 1st anniversary present (paper!) It was absolutely perfect and my wife loved it. So much attention to detail and Clare was very helpful and understanding when I first contacted her. She outlined clear costs for what I would like and kindly allowed me to collect from her house even when she wasn’t at home. Thank you Clare.”
